Phil was Associate Choreographer to Susan Stroman for New York, New York, starting with its first developmental workshop in 2022 and culminating in its Broadway premiere in March 2023 at the St. James Theater, where it ran until July 2023.
The show was nominated for 9 Tony Awards, including Best Choreography, as well as Outstanding Choreography at the Drama Desk Awards and Chita Rivera Awards. New York, New York won the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Choreography.
